The Operations Accounting Department records series consists of three subseries. The General Auditing records subseries, 1933-1948 (3.2 cubic ft.), Acc. 409, is made up of three subsubseries. The Subject Files subsubseries, 1939-1943, includes working papers, audit reports, and correspondence relating to various non-automotive operations including the Ford Investment Plan, Ford Naval Training School, Northern Michigan Operations, and the White Hart Inn. The Audit Reports subsubseries, 1948, consists of working papers, memorandums, intra-department correspondence, and general department letters covering the 1948 audit of major departments, plants, subsidiaries, and associated companies including Ford Hydro-Electric Company, Fordson Coal Company, Hamilton & Rossville Hydraulic Company, the Highland Park Plant, and the Rouge River Plant. The Government Releases subsubseries, 1933-1940, consists of federal publications summarizing proposed and enacted laws relating to the automobile industry and labor relations. The Hamilton & Rossville Hydraulic Company records subseries, 1949-1951 (0.4 cubic ft), Acc. 1885, consists of microfilm copies of the account ledgers for Hamilton & Rossville and includes property cost information, credit and debit journal entries, tax and insurance registers, and the general accounting ledger for the company. The General Cost Accounting records subseries, 1940-1947 (2.4 cubic ft.), Acc. 777, contains correspondence, working papers, and journal sheets. The subseries includes labor cost analysis information for the Rouge River Plant, Northern Michigan labor and sawmill costs, Soybean Plant costs, and various department and production cost analysis reports.
